It really is so very nice to be appreciated. Ok, I don't run for Cancer Research UK because I'm seeking 'pats on the back' but it is nice all the same.
Since my recently publicity with BBC Radio Leeds, and my postponed appearance on BBC Look North News, I have had more followers on Twitter, more friends on Facebook. One very nice surprise which came 'out of the blue' was not so much a financial one, but more of a free service i.e. gym facilities, personal trainer, swimming pool, jacuzzi, and regular health checks. This kind gesture was donated by General Manager Dan Hartigan for a period of 12 months by Nuffield Health (formerly Cannons Gyms) in Guiseley, West Yorkshire. Plus they are offering everyone a free 1 months membership. *T&C's apply
So I visited Nuffield Health this morning, and signed the membership forms, so now I am a full member. In return I will add their company logo to my charity shirt and make sure I Tweet it and Facebook it where ever I can, because this keeps the money for charity rolling in and helps to repay the sponsors generosity.
To celebrate this new sponsorship deal I decided to go out early with a friend and run for 2 hours over a VERY hilly route in the snow.So thanks to all my sponsors old and new for sticking with me, or rather sticking with Cancer Research UK and helping me to have another great year of fund raising ahead.
