I really like taking part in inaugural events and having recently (yesterday 14th March) completed the worlds very first metric marathon (Kilomathon) running 26.2k from Nottingham to Derby, so when I saw the 'Love Life, Love Running' weekend family event in Cannock Chase, Staffordshire (24th & 25th July 2010) with free weekend camping, DJ's in the woodlands. There was no way you were going to stop me taking part.
I called the organisers who confirmed I would be permitted to take my Motorhome to the event for the weekend. So I booked my place for the individual 10k run through the forest on the Saturday 24th. I mentioned this to a few of my friends on Twitter and in a few hours we have already got 5 running tweeters for our 6 person team event on the Sunday (25th).We need just one more, and perhaps a stand-by in case of injury.
Late news: If we get too many people wanting to run in a team, we could create team of 4 (instead of 6) and even a 2nd team, or even a 3rd team and make a great day of this fantastic event.
