Emmerdales SUZANNE SHAW joins the Rodley Fun Run for charity

I have been 'Tweeting' on Twitter about finding a celebrity to start our 3rd annual Rodley Fun Run again this year. I had tried both the previous years without any success at all.

It was a matter of luck when I happened to 'hit it off' with Nick Miles (plays character Jimmy King) and we got talking about various things including The Rodley Fun Run. Nick wishes he could be there in person but had already agreed to be somewhere else at the time, so offered to help find a cast member who would help out. 

It was only a couple of days later when I received a direct message (DM) from Nick via Twitter to say Suzanne Shaw was interested in helping my charity run. Nick asked for my mobile number, passed it on it Suzanne, who called me within 3 minutes for a chat. Not only did she want to start the event , she wanted to run the whole 13 miles too. 

In the meantime, Suzanne's husband, Radio Aire presenter J.K. is going to be promoting the event to an even wider audience.

Suzanne told me, she would be delighted to help publicise the event because she was always getting teased by the Emmerdale cast because she didn't run like the rest of them and this would be something to aim for. Especially as it was for Cancer Research UK.
