My Pink Ribbons Tribute

As most of my followers on Twitter already know, I'm a charity runner living in West Yorkshire and I'm running to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Reason:
My aim was to raise £50,000 for this charity because our family (and Jules) were personally affected and cancer will affect 1 in 3 of us during our lifetime. (See how much I've raised so far).

BELOW is my last 'Pink Ribbons' Twibute to the ones WE have lost to Cancer - Please read how it works - because I'm doing it again!!  This my free service to YOU, and it won't cost you a penny, but if you wish to sponsor me please click here.

Now you can help me raise another £1,280 in one race and it will cost you nothing

This is my 'Pink Ribbons Twibute' to those we (you and me) have lost to Cancer.
If you tweet me (or message me on Facebook) the name of a special loved one you have lost to cancer, I will add a pink ribbon which will be pinned to my running shirt on 4th December for my next charity half marathon in ORLANDO, FLORIDA. The ribbon will have the name of your loved one written on it which will be photographed and then published on-line at Twitpic for you to and your family to view.  Ideally I'd like a shirt FULL of pink ribbons in the Florida sunshine.

This new pink ribbon tribute replaces my old method of writing loved ones names on my shirt. This is so I can post you the ribbon as a keepsake, should you ask for it.

My sponsor:
I have just received an email from a previous sponsor www.r-techwelding.co.uk who has stepped up to the mark again to sponsor my half marathon in Florida on 4th December.
He is going to give me at least £1000 as a personal donation, which means it will also attract 28% gift aid making the total value of the donation £1,280.

Hope you will participate in my 'Pink Ribbons Tribute' to the ones we have loved and lost?

UPDATE: I completed the half marathon with my good friend Abby (pictured above with me) and we managed go get her a new personal best time for this distance, PLUS the 10k split at the same time. Here's just a few of the photos from the event on my FaceBook
